International Travel to the United States

International travelers requiring a visa to enter the United States are advised to apply three to four months before the date of travel. Information on U.S. visa policies and procedures is available at http://travel.state.gov/visa/.

Attendees can request a letter of invitation by sending an e-mail to meeting@aag.org.

Please Note: The United States requires travelers entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program to have an e-Passport if their passport was issued on or after October 26, 2006. Additional information on VWP e-Passport requirements.

Additional information about visa requirements is available from the The National Academies International Visitors Office.

Developing Regions Membership Program

The AAG has long advocated interacting with and providing support to geographers and other colleagues from developing regions of the world. In this spirit we have established the Developing Regions Membership Program, through which eligible professionals may join the AAG for the deeply discounted rate of $20 per year.
